Privacy Policy
Exactly what we collect, the cookies and ads we use, and how to opt out.

What we collect
We keep this minimal. You can read, search, and use almost every page without an account and without giving us anything.
The personal data we hold falls into three buckets: a free account if you choose to sign in (see Accounts and sign-in below), the email address you type into our contact form (used only to reply, never sold, never marketing), and anonymized, aggregate analytics that help us improve the site.
The player stats shown on this site come entirely from the public OSRS Hiscores. They describe in-game accounts, not you, the visitor.
Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how people actually use the tracker, which pages get looked at, where things feel slow, and what is confusing, so we can make it better over time.
Clarity records anonymized usage signals such as clicks, scrolls, and general session behaviour. It does not tell us who you are. Microsoft may use this data per their own privacy statement. We only ever look at it in aggregate to decide what to improve next.
Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to show ads, which is how we keep the tracker free to run.
Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time in your Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info, or, in Europe and the UK, at youronlinechoices.eu. For more on how Google uses data from sites that show its ads, see Google's advertising policy.
Your privacy choices
You are always in control. You can opt out of personalized ads in your Google Ads Settings or at www.aboutads.info, block cookies in your browser, and ask us to delete your account by email.
Before we serve personalized ads to visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, we ask for consent through a Google-certified consent tool, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time.
Jagex and the Fan Content Policy
Created using intellectual property belonging to Jagex Limited under the terms of Jagex's Fan Content Policy. This content is not endorsed by or affiliated with Jagex.
Old School RuneScape is a trademark of Jagex Limited. Game data is sourced from the publicly available OSRS Hiscores.
Accounts and sign-in
Signing in is optional and only unlocks extras like founder status and saved preferences. We use Clerk to handle sign-up and login, including the option to continue with Google or Discord.
When you create an account we store a minimal profile: an account ID, your email and display name, your founder number if you are one of the first members, and any preference you set such as your favourite finale team. We never see or store your password; Clerk manages that under its own privacy policy. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time by emailing contact@dmmosrs.com.
Google Analytics
We also use Google Analytics to see which pages and features get the most use, so we can keep improving the tracker for the next Deadman event.
It records anonymized, aggregate usage such as page views, traffic sources, and rough location (country level). It does not identify you personally. Google may process this data per their own privacy policy.
Cookies
Cookies and similar browser storage on this site fall into three groups:
- Essential. If you sign in, Clerk sets a session cookie so you stay signed in. We also store a random anonymous ID in your browser so polls and votes are not double-counted.
- Analytics. Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics set cookies to measure usage in aggregate.
- Advertising. Google AdSense and its partners set cookies to serve and measure ads, as described above.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Some signed-in features need the session cookie, but the rest of the tracker will keep working normally.
What we don't do
This is a community project, and ads simply cover the cost of running it. We do not sell your personal data, we do not build advertising profiles of you ourselves, and we ask for the minimum needed to keep the site useful. If we change how data or ads work, we will update this page and the date above first.
